Forums - Nintendo - Capcom Describes Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate as a "Smash Hit"

Ah... so it sold well digitally. Interesting, as people dont seem to expect that of nintendo systems.

I think more Wii U games have likely had decent digital sales (which really need to be tracked better) than most people assume.

Also, the physical retail version of MH3U has sold over 300k, and counting, so while not amazing, that's not bad, considering the current Wii U install base.

I would love to know how many posts this thread would have gotten if the title would have been : "Capcom disappointed with low Monster Hunter U sales"...

Good to hear it did well.

Appetizers are over, now on to the main course which is Monster Hunter 4.

EDIT:

*Looks around*

Is... is this real? *laughs* Come on guys. Whew.

Way to take a pot shot at Monster Hunter.  If this thread were about Fire Emblem you'd be all like... Sure.  I bet that it might be a smash hit due to digital sales.

Seriously though, I wonder if something got messed up in the translation.  I would believe Capcom saying that the sales are better than expected, but I'm not buying that they think that it's a smash hit.
