Forums - Gaming - Sony fans: How would you react with such a Third-Party treatment?

I have a feeling that this thread backfired on the OP.

Also, I'm noticing things about some Nintendo fans. That if Nintendo is not dominating they hope the worst for the industry. In particular that they want ps4/720 to sell less than the wii u and they want 3rd parties to go bankrupt. its very petty

*See sales Vita* that is the first thing I thought... but WiiU situation is even more horrible.

Alright. Let's go into more detail.

PS4 gets a bunch of late ports with no added content at launch. Then, it gets lacklustre ports and no more than complains. Would you buy those old games that are available on other platforms much cheaper?

Be honest with your answers.

EDIT: To be more specific, I'd like to know what your point of view is since according to many, we are "guilty" of not supporting WiiU's third party offerings and thus, we don't deserve the good games. Purely hypothetical.

I would wait until the PS4 received decent support before purchasing one. I wouldn't purchase it day one and just hope that developers will support the platform.

This.

This actually happened to me so I can comment on it eaisily.

I owned both a 360 and a PS3 early in the Gen. At the time, I was a much bigger Sony fan than I am now. It annoyed me a lot late ports costed more on the PS3 than my 360 as I bought the PS3 first, and it was always meant to be my platform of choice. But, you know what?  I bought a lot of games begrudgingly for the 360 because in the end I had the same great experience.

If some how the PS4 got screwed by MS next Gen where my plan is to be only own a Sony console than I would go to PC, or 720 as my primary platform because I am resasonable in that I will buy a good product from any company. Even Apple.

My recommendation always: if you will only buy one platform and think you deserve all the games than you are an entitled forum whiner that will never get what you constantly complain about.

Man, some people in this thread have a hard time understanding that not everyone has unlimited money to spend on consoles. Games cost 60 bucks a pop, too! Buy three consoles and no games, or one console and 10 games... hmmmmmmmm...

Anyway, it might have helped your case to be a bit more specific, but this is probably a hopeless battle. You aren't really demonstrating anything Wii U owners haven't been making clear since its launch. But for example, you might ask if people would wait to buy Madden 25 for PS4 even if it lacked the new features of the PS3 version and wasn't an improvement over it in any way; or if they would wait two months to buy GTA V on PS4 if it had no improvements over the PS3 version.

Who said you need to buy all consoles at once? People had 8 years to buy a 360, PS3, and Wii so why not just buy EA games on 360 or PS3 since if you like their games you should own one by now.

Instead of blaming developers blame Nintendo for releasing a console that no one wants to develope for.

@bold. Can you explain how exactly Nintendo did that?

I think it's pretty obvious when you see games announced that are on most platforms besides the Wii U. Developers Just don't want to make games for it because the Wii U isn't similar to The current consoles or the next gen consoles it's in it's own bubble; more powerful than PS360 but under powered compared to PS4.

Would probably get the Xbox instead and then get PS4 later on when the price is low for the first party games.

You mean the PS3's first year?

So lackluster third party support isn't just confined to Nintendo consoles because of an anti-Nintendo conspiracy?
