JJ Abrams is behind the Star Trek reboot.  Isn't he also doing Star Wars?  It is possible he can fire up a new generation with more Star Wars.  Star Wars IS iconic.  It has potential to do big if done right.

Yep. After initially declining he caved in and agreed to Direct + Produce Star Wars VII.

Which is more than enough for me to watch it on merit.

Considering the following Lost built up, and what he did with the Star Trek reboot, that is why I say it.  As an individual who was a fan of Heroes (yes I know after the first season it was all over), and had the Lost fans get all over my case for it, I am not the type to just go "WOW, JJ Abrams".  But i do have to acknowledge at least what he did with Star Trek reboot.  Because of this, I can say it is definitely possible that there is a shot of an increased interest in Star Wars remake coming off good.  I could also add Disney does a decent job with things.  I did like Wreck it Ralph, for example.

Like flies into a bug zapper, we fall into these threads.  If Pachter threads stop getting people joining in, then the demand wouldn't be there.  Pachter goes away, and ends up basing his life on whether or not he gets fired from his other job.
