Forums - PC - What are your specs (Mid-Enthusiast Rig owners, mainly)?

Currently Im running an I7 3770K OC to 4.4 GHz (could go higher but for the sake of voltage i keep it at this)
Dual Saphire Vapor-X AMD 7970s OC to 1200 MHz
Asus Mobo with 16 GB DDR3-2133
24" Monitor Sporting 1900x1200 2MS response time
Corsair 1000W Power Supply
Dual LG Blu Ray Drives

I know this is a little off topic but I have a question.

Im currently debating on Getting a Dell 30" monitor with 2560x1600 or getting 2 more 24" screens and doing Eyefinity! Anyone got a suggestion as to which is better? Im currently leaning towards the 30" monitor but still unsure.

I nearly OC'd my 690 two nights ago, but a few read-up-on woes made me reconsider. Then again, I can't imagine a huge issue with just raising the Power Target.

Yeah you should be fine! I hear the Nvidia 6 series are beastly overclockers. My laptop has a 660M gpu and it can go from stock clocks of 835 MHz all the way to 1300 MHz rock solid stable and memory can go from 2500 MHz stock to 3000 MHz after OC. Its rock solid and never gets above 75C. It has REALLY impressed me though I plan to upgrade my laptop and PC at the end of the year. Just waiting for Haswell and the next gen Cards from AMD.

Pentium 4 2.8GHz Single Core, I dunno the GPU, 1GB DDR RAM (I expanted this), 5 HDD totaling 6TB (all external), and it's plug into my TV.

I can play Halo 1 on mid spec

Intel I5 2500k @ 3.3 Ghz (stock)
MSI Lightning GTX 680
8gb Ram
1 TB HDD
750W PSU

Can run any game on max settings. Eventually going to upgrade my cpu to maybe the next gen cpus whenever they come out. Before that though im going to save up for a Solid State Drive even though they are still pretty pricey.

AMD FX8350, 7970, 32GB RAM, 2TB Green, 60GB kingston SSD, Corsair 650D case., 800w psu.

Runs as cool as a cucumber on air, fairly loud though.

My PC sits around the mid-upper tier range of gaming PCs, but considering I only spent $750 on the whole rig, I got a lot of bang for my buck.

3.1 GHz FX-Series Eight-Core FX processor
8 GIG DDR3 Ram
2TB HDD
AMD Radeon HD 7670

It plays on a 1080p 24 inch monitor which I was able to snag for another $200 or so.

Plays most the games I've tried on max settings or close to them with little problems. Far Cry 2 and Crysis 3 for instance looks gorgeous.. Pretty proud of this relatively cheap beast of a machine.

I thoroughly enjoyed building my PC up last year I didnt go with a full upgrade as i felt my GPU would still be able to last me another year or two. And while theres a big gap between my gtx560ti and say a 7870/660ti...its not enough of a gap to warrrant an upgrade imo. This decision is haunting me a bit, as the most recent games to come out have been quite taxing on my old gpu :(. Anyways taken from my Sig:

Intel Core i7 3770K [3.5GHz]
MSI Big Bang Z77 Mpower
Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1866 2 x 4GB
MSI GeForce GTX 560 ti Twin Frozr 2
OCZ Vertex 4 128GB
Corsair HX750
Cooler Master CM 690II Advanced

I love my mobo! it straight up looks like an enthusiasts part even though it was reasonably priced

Might do another build at the end of this year? Its so much fun putting PC together and choosing parts
