Forums - Sales - Global SW & HW UP! 27th April 2013

Looks like I was right about God of War: Ascension legging out over Gears of War: Judgment starting from this week:

USA, Week Ending 27th April 2013:

God of War: Ascension: 10,629 (down 17.9%, last week 12,946)

Gears of War: Judgment: 8,477 (down 40.5%, last week 14,249)

UK, Week Ending 27th April 2013:

God of War: Ascension: 2,440 (down 22.7%, last week 3158)

Gears of War: Judgment: 2,140 (down 39%, last week 3508)

Prediction of global sales for both games for the week ending 27th April 2013:

Gears of War: Judgment: 29,940 (last week WW) - 40% = 17,964.

God of War: Ascension: 30,076 (last week WW) - 20% = 24,061.

Ascension ahead of Gears: J? Was not expecting that in the US.

Most funny is that Ascenssion finally reach the NPD sales after 1 month.

lol, with Vgchartz numbers at 626K in the US it's still not reached NPD's first month data at 633K (570K stand-alone + 63K God of War Legacy Bundle).

You have the data Vgchartz/ioi, you know it's undertracked, how long does it take to distribute the 49K units confirmed to be undertracked across the first 4 weeks?

I wonder if 360 will fall below 60 k?

No. The sales are undertracked... 360 is tracking near 100k per week.

Oh I didn't know VGChartz was that unreliable. Thanks for the info.

I'm starting to feel like the charts are automated, or the person compiling them is completely oblivious to other data points.  VGC still has the DS selling more than it shipped, and the PSP doing less than 1k a week in Europe when it averaged 22.3k this past quarter.  The 360 supposedly has 2.14 million left on shelves last quarter.  A number of 3DS games were higher on VGC than shipments+digital.  The numbers are bad all over.

Since this has become your weekly tagline, you should make it your slogan! ;)

Had completely forgotten about that until you pointed it out.  It's almost like they're on autopilot with those numbers; I'd hope at the very least that we're going to get massive adjustments before the end of the year.

Them Luigi legs!
