Forums - Sales - Will the PS4 outsell the XBox One and WiiU?

Short answer no, sony will be lucky to be 2nd!

LOL...This isn't last gen. Microsoft doesn't have a head start, they have to convince consumers in a dual launch with Microsoft that they are up to par with Sony in development not just online. Their launch titles better be amazing.

bolded1: simple lie

No Take-Two, no EA, no Deep Silver etc. Square Enix support is piss poor... there was Dragon Quest but no Hitman, no Tomb Raider, no Final Fantasy. No announcements either that I'm aware of? Thief announced for PC and PS4 but not Wii U?

Even the ones that are supporting it aren't fully supporting it, e.g. Activision not bringing Destiny, Ubisoft not bringing Rainbow 6 or Far Cry.

bolded2:  I am talking about a real competition, ps2 was already out for a year when gamecube released and had everything at it's favor. that itself limited popularity for gamecube and xbox.

PS4 and the next Xbox are very "real" competition, even if they're releasing a year later. Wii released a year after the 360 and that didn't stop it from wildly outselling it.

what wii u has going for it are nintendo exclusives + multiplatforms. all the reason someone wants to buy a videogame.

Multiplatform games it does not have/will not get that it's competitors do have/will get:

Bioshock Infinite

GTAV

Destiny

Metal Gear Rising

Metal Gear Solid V

Tomb Raider

Crysis 3

Dead Space 3

Metro: Last Light

Hitman HD Trilogy

Lost Planet 3

Prey 2

XCOM

Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6

DMC: Devil May Cry

Mass Effect 3: Citadel

Darkstalkers Resurrection

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Strom 3

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2

Battlefield 4

Saints Row IV

Remember Me

Devil's Third

Tekken X Street Fighter

The Walking Dead

Far Cry 3

Hitman Absolution

Thief

Grid 2

Some of these are massive games, and all are significant. This list will just go on and on as we go into next gen.

ps2 was already a success when gamecube released, is that hard to understand? most of those games don't exist on either wii u, ps4 or nextbox lineup because were already released for a while. it also takes a crystal ball to say those games won't come to wii u but will come to the other next gen, especially the ones like gta 5 that don't have confirmation for any next gen or pc.

And your previous post said N64 lacked support and that so far wii u looks the same. that is a simple lie because wii u already has much better third party situation. games like batman arkhan origins and AC4 were imediately confirmed for wii u. it's getting watch dogs and project cars, just wait for E3 to have a better view of confirmed games instead of spreading doom to the console.

PS4 has no chance. everyone will buy the nextbox because microsoft have more money and make more profits!! a true system seller.

Man I can't wait till the ps4 and 720 launch and we finally see. Gonna have some people hiding lol.

they'll be pretty even at launch I'd wager

I mean once they both launch and are compared to the wiiu launch and such. Then we can start really guessing better.

Im going 2 keep my mouth shut until I see what Microsoft brings 2 the table on the 21st.

Seriously, I would be surprised if they actually show some dedication to making games.

I would like to take that bet.  I am pretty sure you will see a strong start from MS for the nextbox.  The key would be will that start continue for the life of the console.  In the last 2 years MS has invested in some gaming studios.  Reason would suggest that if these studios did not show anything on the 360 then they must have something for the nextbox.  I would not be surprised if MS also purchase some IPs from third party developers like Epic to fill out their launch window.

I am glad you are taking the bet  because no one has proven me wrong about Microsoft in the last three years. I have hope, but its not like I dont have a rational guard up in thinking they care about games. I would be happy to be wrong about Microsoft.
