Last I looked in that thread, it wasn't. Though it was also tossing around 10% of total workforce which is closer to 1000.

I feel similar. Mostly I'm being a little selfish as those companies ignoring Nintendo hardware when it simply makes sense not to.

Aye aye, all of us can sympathize with the out-of-work, but at the same time, the games industry has hardly been a sympathetic figure the past five years or so. Some companies even less so than others...

But it doesn't make sense when the games they develop for Nintendo's consoles sell pitifully, which happens way too often.

They are all ports. Its simply extra money that definitely had a positive ROI. Plus with the exception of games like Tiger Woods, nearly every one of the others were heavily gimped. Of course they sold less by a lot (Tiger Woods always sold very well).

Oh my bad then.  I thought they was the same thing.

Regardless this isn't good for the industry and hopefulyl it doesn't effect to many people's jobs.

I'm not sure about Mr.Khan and the others but what I'm glad for is not that EA games won't come (Hell I've only bought 1 EA game in my life and I hated it), but this being a punishment of EA's anti-consumer tendencies and setting back the medium as a whole.

This pretty much sums up my thoughts of EA, not due to Mass Effect endings but more stuff like this.
