Why ? Steve Jobs syndrome? because he talks funny ?

Are those the reasons you don't like him?

I can't stand him, he's an ego centric socially inept twit that comes across like he lives in a celler.

Just my opinion no offense intended etc. On the positive, we're all freaks in some way or another and most people, when they air their soul as PM does (too much) would likely come across equally dislikable if talking about their work.

but the thing is, he talks about something , and does exactly the opposite of what he preaches.

before announcing this game he was making fun of microtransactions and how his "Game" is free for all , and then he asked for donations because the server was overloaded, and now look what he is doing.

look back at fable , he promised so much , and it ended a generic wasted potential.

I really think Lionhead games will get even better now that he is gone.

Oh I'm with you here too, his only redeemable quality is that he does talk openly. Unfortunately it's always openly about what he's wants to do and not what he is actually capable of.

Strange, 5-6 years ago him joining MS was seen as a massive thing, he delivered absolutely nothing.

At the end of the day, he's definitely got some good personal qualities but the trouble is they come out in all the wrong ways not befitting a person in a respected pro position. He just doesn't have the talent to compete with his peers anymore who have far surpassed him.

His thinking outside the box style (if rather arrogant) has not been integrated into a viable gaming product at all in the last 15 years+. I'm not sure if he is to blame for that (likely he is). I expect he's very difficult to work with from is general demenour and shouldn't even be in a lead position on anything.

I don't think even his older games like Black & White were that good anyway and could see he's learned nothing since then.

It's all well and good being creative in some area but if you can't turn that into an end product that's actually got a purpose and not just some novelty...

Sure Theme Park/Populous was up there with some of the best stuff at the time, but we're going back literally 20 years here.

He just can't seem to flesh out a vision to it's completion. I wouldn't say that's because he aims too high as he makes out. I think it's more down to him wrongly being given too much control and lack of ability to get it together and collaberate with other people in the creative area.

He's a dying dog from the era of when games could be coded by just a couple of people turnining out smaller experiences.

He's lucky to have been given the free passes he has been, but I suspect he doesn't realise it. This all sounds kinda harsh but what else can anyone say really? He's had so many chances now!

Hmm, well I'm surprised that's not all finished yet!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Have you played the game? it was very stupid and very easy/boring, most of the features are wasted potentials and half assed, the storyline is okay-ish, but non of the characters are actually memorable.

We have played a different game, then. It was charming, fairly easy (that's right), funny and with memorable characters. The story actually is pretty bad.

I'm a microsoft fan (most Sony fans here can't stand me whih says it all lol).

Fable series is basically what I'd call nice and cute. It lacks the deep WRPG mechanics, and lacks the JRPG style and story, it lacks the adventure games meat.

It's good for what it is. A cute fun adventure, but this is coming from a british guy here, it plays far too much on medieval cuteyness that doesn't have much behind it for me. It's good but not a classic. edit - to elaborate on the britishy thing, it exploits cheesy stereotypes that aren't relevant and never were - all well and good but if it's going to do that, I expect better. Kinda like a racist joke that is borderline acceptable if it has a fantastic punchline and is delevered in a good context. Fable could have been a great series, instead it was just a series. The Journey says it all really...shameful.

It's certainly didn't meet expectations in hindsight, reviewers were very kind to it and if reviewed now it wouldn't score as high imo.
