It is great game, you should play it.

It's a great game, but it's not a Silent Hill game. You don't even go to Silent Hill. Anyways, I thought the third was the best, but it's been so long since I've played it. I just have the best memories of that one.

Well, it has Silent hill in its name, so it is a silent hill game.   It is related to Silent Hill; but not in ways like SH1,2,3; so you could consider it a sidestory, similar to RE4 in Resident evil.

its been a while,i played the first on the PS1 which i loved but 2 is probably my favourite though there probably isn't that much difference as i like the music/atmos in silent hills

i just watched the new silent hill film the other night which has the girl from 3 in it,quite cute,not a great film but good for silent hill fans with some of the places in it,the amusement park with rabbit and the map on the asylum wall just like the game

Silent Hill 2 is my favorite, with 1 being right behind it and 3 very close to number 1. I loved all of them so much.

Silent Hill 3. I had a very unsettling feeling playing it. SH 2 had a great Story and an interesting twist but SH 3 felt just wrong playing it and I like that in a Horrorgame. I also liked Heather as maincharacter. Using a teenage girl instead of a middle aged man was a great idea.

2 is the best one. Best story, characters, mood and you even get to play as Maria on the directors cut.
Also its where pyramid head first appeared!

1 was pretty good aswell, but 3 i didnt like so much because it hardly had the foggy silent hill and was mostly on the other realm. A good silent hill needs mistery before it become horror.

I feel like silent hill 3 was the most challenging (combat wise) of the three followed closely by silent hill 1. When playing through silent hill 2 I ended up with a ton of ammo, but maybe that's just because I did the most exploring in that one.

Silent hill 2 was the best for me, i really wish the game was bigger, or that there were more places to explore in the town

If you were to play just one, I would recommend Silent Hill 2 as would most others.  Silent Hill 1 is a ps1 game and you need to play it before Silent Hill 3 because it continues on same story.

You should definitely get around to playing it, the first time playing through is an amazing experience.
