I wish The Room was included in the HD collection because many say that's the best one.

D: Most Silent Hill fans, at least that I know, say the exact opposite. Shame too, it's my second favorite, but that HD Collection was an absolute disaster! Don't buy, avoid at all costs.

I heard The Room is supposed to be... more interesting, awkward (in a good way), original and perhaps even more scary?

I bought the collection a long time ago already (but I haven't touched it yet). And it's got a patch that is supposed to fix the shadowing problems.

It is in a way. Its impossible to kill stuff just to pin down with very rare silver rods ? My memory is pretty hazy its been a while that I played it. And the ghosts/monster inside the room, its scary. Its really like you describe awkward and not like SH is. It feels different and the game has another kind of horror to it. In a way it was more scary, they did alot of things right but at some point it was too stressful after your room gets infiltrated. I had the constant feeling I would get stuck any minute now, you find nothing really. Its all great for a Survival Horror game. It just lacks that SH feel and I don't remember the story which means it wasn't all that good. But I remember it making my skin crawl and feeling constantly stressed and nervous playing the game.

Its unique and definetly a great Survival Horror game. Better than everything I played this gen but its just no Silent Hill and pretty depressing. Hard to describe really. And the ending I remember getting the bad one which made the game even more depressing. I think the majority of players will see the bad one first if they just do as they think its right.

I played most of the Survival Horror games there are, but this was the only game that left me with a weird taste afterwards. I am not even sure if I enjoyed it or not.

It was just his flat and not a hotel room. I remember thinking I would kill myself if I had to live in a room like this with the nice view from my window. He lived there permanently.

Yes, yes... all of that sounds sweet lol. It's exactly those kind of qualities I've heard being described and what made me so intrigued about The Room!

And now I will hijack this thread to post the just released 2 hour review of Downpour from the Twin Perfect guys
