Forums - Nintendo - Guess Nintendo's version of first party releases includes VC content.

Don't get me wrong people. I have games to play now and there is some great 3rd party content releasing in May and I love that VC is finally starting up. But, the lack of the sole purpose to own a console (first party content) is killing me.

I can't logically understand why Nintendo would allow this to happen. I'm sure it wasn't planned originally and I guess I should be happy they focus on launching a game that is perfect vs known issues and needing patches, but man its crazy.

Around the Network

Technically, there are first party releases every month, only it is over both the 3DS, Wii U and eShop.

Basically, it seems to proves Nintendo is divided and like the back half of the Wii, their primary focus seems to be the portable market. Maybe it is the sales in Japan being focused there or HD development being more difficult to get off the ground but it certainly seems like Nintendo isn't working nearly as hard as they have in previous console life cycles to get their home console system off the ground.

I think that they are planning to relaunch the Wii U this E3, with a huge games lineup and a price drop.

Add me! :)

They planned their launch really well, makes you wonder why 5.5m is unreachable.
