Who actually has to boot up the OS nowadays? This is 2013, we have sleep mode.

Win2k was great. It didn't have quite the level of compatibility as XP, but it was so good I used it for the longest time before moving to XP. Win2k used the WinNT kernel which is what MS used to create XP (unlike Win98/WinME which were based on DOS.)
You also skipped WinME, which was terrible.

I like to keep my Xbox near my TV...not on my computer. (Literally...it says Xbox). My computer was such a drag to look for in the beginning, and it is not userfriendly in the slightest compared to Windows 7. I got the Kindle app and it doesn't f'n work because Windows 8 isn't supported for certain books, Certain games are a drag as well. Its f'n stupid.

Win7 doesn't take that long to boot up. It takes longer for my computer to go through the POST screen, etc. than it takes to boot into Win7. My boot drive isn't even that fast, it's only a 120GB Intel 510 SSD drive. My Mac (MBA) boots up faster, but it doesn't show the POST screen or anything like that.
