I have Windows 8 and its just a more confusing version of the Mac/IPod Os. I am getting close to replacing it with Windows 7.

I have yet to understand how it's confusing. The start menu is replaced with a start screen, which has the same things in it as the start menu. If you want to find something but don't know where it is, go to the start screen and start typing to search (or move the mouse to the top-right and click search), it's instant search as soon as you start typing. Super fast, easy to use, I don't get why people get confused. Don't know where to change your power settings for example, go to the start screen and type 'power', everything related to that appears under the 'settings' entry almost instantly. Or, if you are just not interested in learning the new interface (which is actually quite good once you get used to it and set it up with your favorites), google and download the start8 utility to add an old-school start menu. Non-existent problem solved! :/

The mac like pop up tool area on the right hand side of the screen that comes out of nowhere is flipping annoying. Netflix is always turning on on the upper right hand side of my screen. I hate pressing the Windows insignia to go to a Xbox menu  (which has replaced the start menu). My computer is pretty much like the macs but more confusing and less intuitive. I can go on and on just tell me where to stop.

You still haven't said what is 'confusing'... specifically what confuses you? You don't have to press the windows button, you can move the mouse to where the start button used to be and click (just like you used to do) to get to the start screen. Also, you can literally find ANYTHING... INSTANTLY by typing the first part of what you're looking for. There's nothing confusing about that.

Also, you may have missed the part where it was explained that you can easily get an old-school Windows 7 start button if you want. I can understand the charms menu being annoying, but I got used to that pretty quick and hardly ever trigger it by accident.

Windows is now only popular because manufacturers force windows onto the customer, if all the big names agreed to put linux on there computers then Microsoft would collapse at an even faster rate than it's doing now. But this wont happen as putting windows on the computer allows manufactures to overcharge the customers. So it has to potential to to damage pc gaming even more than what it is doing now.

Yes because Microsoft is collapsing LOOOL

Funny kids that dont even lift. poor guys.

As from the topic, well i love Windows 8 but the more updates the better, i hope they include more Metro Control, i still have to use Desktop to do many things (i.E Folder, Change name of Folder, Control Panel...), they should erase that completely.

Ofc i will still use desktop for web, spotify, skype and many others but the more things i can do on Metro the better because if i can do everything on both it will be amazing and much more fluid.

Also please let me boot Desktop if i want, that would be neat, i love Metro its the future but i really want desktop to appear first and only go Metro if i need to, usually i need to go Desktop First to see my mail, facebook, open spotify etc...

As for Windows 9, just keep pushing forward, if there is one company doing innovation and bold steps is Microsoft, Apple stills with the same iOS that launched with Iphone 1, they are affraid of innovation i see...

Hatters man, they will talks load of BS even if they know the OS is fine and not confuse, or people are really dumb LOL might be that.

If someone doesnt know how to operate with W7 if either 2 :

1. Really dumb and stupid

2. Less than 10 years old

is the most fluid, user friendly OS i´ve ever played with, well maybe apart from iOS.

How is it ridiculas? And that "cheap laptop" would be a lot cheaper if i didn't come with windows installed.

Dell and HP pay less than $40 for Windows. Likely a lot less.

It adds up though and if it cost HP and dell £40 they would charge £50 or £60. This wouldn't be as  bad if not for the fact you don't get a say in whether you want it installed on almost evry big brand computer.

The $40 margin was comparing the same Dell PC sold with Windows and Ubuntu. If Dell has their own extra margin it's <$40.
