Unfortunately there might not be a bump until the end of the month if they're saying they will be ready by Golden Week. Many retailers are still out of stock.

Sony Store - Only Blue available

Yodobashi - Only Black available

Not counting the Toukiden special edition preorders for June.

Because they are the only color that are available? If you say blue is available but not reassuring that other colors are not available that means the other colors aren't sold out. Pretty simple concept to understand

Another way to have posted what he did would be to say...

"Shortages? It's available at the Sony store, Yodobashi and Amazon... What's the problem."

Subtle difference, same data.  If anyone wants a vita in Japan, they can get one.

I don't know about you, but if the color I wanted wasn't available I would probably wait a few weeks until it's available.

At first I was thinking like the rest of you. I mean Sony obviously had to cut back Vita production when sales were completely abysmal, so the huge surge in Japan was surely hard to keep up with. Colored consoles are especially popular in Japan so I can definitely see people holding out to buy their favorite color.

I just hope the Vita will allow some decent competition for the 3DS in the future. Sony should be wetting their pants after the announcement of Pokemon X and Y. Man, what a launch that will be. I'll be getting it also. But really Sony needs better games on Vita. Persona Golden won't save the thing entirely. With Nintendo you have all these popular IPs putting out extremely well done software and Vita can't match not one. I pray for its success so maybe we'll get a Dragon Quest VIII portable.

In Japan right now. Vita's are really cheap new here. Also the memory card prices are better too. Going to pick up a 32GB while I'm here.

I don't know anything about shortages though.
