At first I was thinking like the rest of you. I mean Sony obviously had to cut back Vita production when sales were completely abysmal, so the huge surge in Japan was surely hard to keep up with. Colored consoles are especially popular in Japan so I can definitely see people holding out to buy their favorite color.
