I was looking at last weeks numbers.. Lol. but still when I was at school that would be rounded to 1.1m Not that it matters. |
The gap would obviously be rounded to 1.1m. But not the individual console rounding.
OT: I find these numbers too weird, Gears of War week was a very low 360 week. While this week with no major releases beats gears of war week. Also does anyone have any Halo 4 comparisons to other Halos?

I'm confident that PS3 will outsell 360 from Oct-Dec this year (not every week, but total number) |
Yeah if nothing happens then I certainly agree with you. However, if you only take into account Nov-Dec, the 360 will probably will with ease and keep the PS3 from surpassing it until January or February.
However, if you take into account possible price cuts or the rumored Xbox Mini, then everything is up in the air.
Halo 4 is a beast in the U.S.A, it's selling almost as much as God of War Ascension
i really hope bioshock will do better in the long run, that drop was not so nice with so many awesome reviews all around the world
| Slimebeast said: So if the Wii U is selling around 40-45K per week with a poor launch lineup and we compare that with the sales back in spring 2007 when the PS3 sales were tanking at 65-80K per week (also on a poor launch lineup), we can arrive at a conclusion - the PS3 sales were 50% higher than the Wii U. If we project that number to potential yearly and lifetime sales, it suggests that the Wii U never will see yearly sales above 10 million or lifetime sales above 50 million (if lifetime is 6-7 years). And this projection even demands that the Wii U pulls off an equal turnaround in sales that the PS3 managed to do, which I personally don't think it will. |
Agreed.
Nintendo also tends to burnout on first party software very fast, and then focus on the next handheld. Massive Wii drought in second half of life, and DS drought (but filled by third parties).
I think it'll be replaced in five years at most, optimistic upper bound of 35m lifetime.

Wow.. looks like people are surprised by the simple fact that Round(A-B) =/= Round(A) - Round(B)

I'm surprised with its legs since its been available for month on games on demand already. The same thing applies to Forza Horizon.

Well they were pretty much even in Nov-Dec last year so I don't see 360 outselling PS3 this year with ease. It will possibly outsell it slightly during that time, but not by much.
I want to believe that both PS3 and 360 will get a price cut this year. We'll have to wait for the Xbox mini reveal and beyond to see if it can increase sales much I guess |
I just checked and between Nov - Dec the 360 had a total of about 150k lead. So if everything stayed the same I could see both of them being about the same this year. Price cuts, as you say, will probably apply to both and will end up being a wash. The only wildcard here is the Xbox mini if that turns out to be any good or not. Even if it isn't that great it should do enough to make a noticeable difference.
