Final Fantasy X remaster was a surprise when it was announced. Recently Square-Enix stated that not only Final Fantasy X will be remade for Sony platforms: Final Fantasy X-2 will be there too.

Both games will come in one disc for PS3 and they will come in separate SKU’s for Vita.

One source told us that there was a surprise in the pricing information available for the PS3 version. It appears that both titles will feature additional content as DLC.

  • Final Fantasy X HD /Final Fantasy X-2 HD retail disc – $39.99 (Already known because it is listed in Amazon lists)
  • Final Fantasy X HD International Additions – $4.99
  • Final Fantasy X-2 HD International Additions – $4.99
  • Final Fantasy X-2 HD Last Mission – $2.99*

*Requires the purchase of Final Fantasy X-2 International Additions

At this moment we don’t know if Vita version will feature the same DLC packages but it is very possible that it will have the same contents available at launch.

Ah, their 'sources'. This would be one of the worst cases of on-disc DLC ever. Although, there is no precedent for this sort of thing, so I'm inclined to believe it is false.

Mixed reaction from me. On one hand it's obvious dissappointment, it's going to cost me more.

On the other this feels more like proper DLC than the latest trend of 'rip a random chapter or ending out' that we have seen recently. Given it's 2 40-50 hour games I begrudge it much less, feels more like I'm just upgrading them to the collectors editions for a few pounds.

Would you buy Eternal Calm and Last Mission in DLC form, when both should came phisically on disc/cart? Because they would be cashing you more for something already included in the International versions....

I feel asking for extra for that dugeon is a bit cheeky so I might skip out on that, but overall I'm still chuffed that I can pick up the international versions of FFX + X2 in HD for $50 or less on launch.

that statement in particular isn't true, because Square Enix already said the games are based on the international editions on the offician Playstation FFX/FFX-2 webpage. Unless the information on the official, webpage is a lie.

however for whatever reason they won't confirmed that the 2 extra FFX-2 scenario's Eternal Calm, or Last Mission. which is what fullthrottle dude is trying to get.
