Good luck with a job and since he resigned no unemployment for him. i guess he can "deal with it". not that i care, he has some money he worked for M$, and that is a good resume, if they dont know about the internet sensation he has become. lol

Didn't healready have a twitter controversion before this (i read that somewhere)?
Also we don't know if it was a forced resignation or not and if it was, why? was it because of breaking a non disclousure agreement by "leeking" always online, or was it because he just made them bad press?
Anyway you'd think by now people would know how the internet and social media works (especially if he already had a run in with this). It's particularly ironic that he toled people to get internet "it's a grat thing"...
I wish him well though (even if i dont agree with his viewpoints)

Oh c'mon banana! He really did deserve what was coming to him. Even if there wasn't a huge backlash I still think he should have been fired. That's unacceptable behavior in so many ways... If you were running MS, would you have wanted to have a senior employee acting that way? I sure as hell wouldn't want someone like him on my company.
I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!
Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

i would have warned him or suspended him for a week or so, but actually firing him? thats big. and if he has a family thats even bigger.

I don't think whether or not a man has a family or not should matter; if he's doing a really poor job it's time to fire his ass. I mean, it's always sad for the entire family when mom or dad gets fired - it's tough - but a company can't take that into consideration. That way, no one would ever get fired.

of course they should take that into consideration, when did we humans stoped feeling for each other? also if he was dooring a poor job, then yes fire him. but if he made one mistake while doing a good job? then no, dont fire him because one mistake. we dont know the reasons for him being fired, but if it was only for this incident then i say its way to harsh, if this is the straw that broke the camels back i would understand him being fired

Thing is, he could have broken some sort of NDP (or what ever it's called when you have a contract not to leak certain info), and that would warrant him getting fired.

Exactly. If he hadn't made his mistake Microsoft would've caught people off guard. Now they know gamers dont want an always online cable box. Somethings happen for a reason.

if he was fired for leaking info i understand that, its harsh but it would be in his contract and he shouldnt have said anything, its not really that hard. but if he was fired because of how people reacted then that is too much.

When a company says they are suspending someone it usually means they are fired. Also, I hope you never have a serious job if you think that what he did wasn't a fireable offense
