I think GameCube had better third party support.

Resident Evil (franchise exclusivity)
Viewtiful Joe 1/2, Killer 7, P.N. 03, Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles, Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes, Tales of Symphonia, Baten Kaitos, plus a good deal of multiplats like Soul Calibur 2, NBA Street, SSX, Beyond Good & Evil, Time Splitters 2, 007 Nightfire, etc.

You're comparing lifetime to just wiiu year one though.  Once the wiiu takes off this Christmas it should help their 3rd parties out a bit by increasing the base to sell games into.   I guess Project X doesn't count because Nintendo bought the Baten Kaitos creator and now gets all of thier games.  I wouldn't list Nightfire as a quality game I already decided not to list the James Bond game on wiiu cuz it sucks and not worth mentioning either.

Nightfire was a decent game, much better than the Bond game on Wii U. I hope Nintendo buys the Bond license, at least for Nintendo platforms, as apparently Activision opted not to renew their Bond contract.

That would be pretty cool but who would they hire to develop Bond games who would do it justice?

Better.   Just compare the numbers.  It's actually pretty easy to see the Wii U is getting better 3rd party support than the Wii received in the same time frame.

The rEVOLution is not being televised

It's better than the wii for sure but Nintendo need to make it better than the N64 and Gamecube's support

horrible, 90% of those games I can get on my 360 and ps3 and when the new consoles come out I think nintendo will recieve even less support, Good luck nintendo

You skipped the title of the thread and the first paragraph and went straight to the list of games, didn't you?

You must rule out Bayonetta 2 is it isn't third party.

BTW, can someone tell me if Deus Ex is good? The port is being doing by the same team behind ME3 and I'd like to support them for their efforts.

Yes and yes. The biggest complaint about DE:HR was the boss battles, and Straight Right (the devs) said it'll be redoing those to fix them. I got $50 waiting for it.

OT: Assuming you mean multiplats only and not multiplats + exclusives (and also leaving out handhelds), then yes, Nintendo's third party support is improving. But the only way to go was up. I'd put the Wii U about on par with the GameCube right about now: getting some but not all of the forthcoming anticipated games. Nintendo has the chance to change its fortunes if it plays its cards right between now and Christmas, and two things Nintendo and the Wii U have that previous Ninty consoles never did was great indie support and digital distribution for retail games. I'm elated Nintendo is reaching out to indies, and we're going to start seeing some awesome little projects pop up on Wii U that will soften the blow of AAA games we don't get (for me, at least), and I think publishers will be less afraid to greenlight a Wii U port because of the longtail.

I'm pretty sure it's better, but still god awful.-

It is slightly better then the Wii around the same time but still far from adequate and the fact is the console's performance has hurt it with 3rd Parties more then any Nintendo game probably ever did.

lol.... can't any console get 90% of 3rd party games? So wouldn't that be saying all consoles have horrible 3rd party support?

Thanks! Guess I'll get this along with Revelations.

I really don't understand these awful comments.

Because what, one big game this year is skipping Wii U but coming to the rest of next-gen? (BF4)

EA being a proven dick to Wii U is well just EA at this point being a dick.

What else has Wii U missed that had any viable time to be planned for the console? nothing.

Every other 3rd party is showing support for content and especially AAA content.

E3 will be very telling as they can all finally talk openly about PS4/neXtBox development.

Wii U is certainly BETTER in every regard to 3rd party support at this point and I don't expect that to change. EA will be forced to come around in 2014, watch.
