OT: Assuming you mean multiplats only and not multiplats + exclusives (and also leaving out handhelds), then yes, Nintendo's third party support is improving. But the only way to go was up. I'd put the Wii U about on par with the GameCube right about now: getting some but not all of the forthcoming anticipated games. Nintendo has the chance to change its fortunes if it plays its cards right between now and Christmas, and two things Nintendo and the Wii U have that previous Ninty consoles never did was great indie support and digital distribution for retail games. I'm elated Nintendo is reaching out to indies, and we're going to start seeing some awesome little projects pop up on Wii U that will soften the blow of AAA games we don't get (for me, at least), and I think publishers will be less afraid to greenlight a Wii U port because of the longtail. |
