Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo's new headquarters under construction

Just a little article with a couple of pictures of Nintendo's new headquarters which looks to be situated behind the current building http://www.gamesreviews.com/news/04/welcome-to-nintendos-new-headquarters/

Obviously selling buildings is where it's at, not building buildings.

Nintendo is sooo out of touch with the core.

OT: I wonder if they are making it bigger or just getting a more state of the art facility?

Fuck you Nintendo, get your guys to stop making buildings right now and get back to making games! No fucking wonder Pikmin 3 is AWOL!

my theory is: they need a storage area for all the wiius sitting around. lol

Bigger and more state of the art.  Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger.

Nintendo's new building is shown in red and current HQ in blue.

Yeah and Sony is selling their buildings because their new ones consist entirely of unsold Vitas. At least they found a new market for their handheld: premium bricks.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

Is there any data on staff expansion plans? How many developers are working at Nintendo internally and how many do they plan to add? I'd rather know that than seeing pictures of the building to be honest. (They're still interesting though.)

Should be the end of this year.

Meant to post the embedded video, but it just posted the title instead..  No innuendo intended but I do admit I did something a little daft..  :$  sorry for that one, too

OT: "The new building will house 1500 people, with a hope of unifying various Nintendo divisions (handheld and home console engineers, for instance). This will hopefully optimize development time on both systems, with optimized tools and the like as well.

Nintendo are hoping to move into the building towards the end of 2013."
