You make those "issues" up for a console which has not even been announced. From my personal experience, Sony does not know how to make an usable UI for their consoles. Ms is much better on software and I am certain that nextbox will be even better than 360 on that front. Multiplatforms will be roughly the same. Do you remember when PS3 was supposed to be sooo much better than 360? The games just happened to be virtually identical.

So, if Sony wants my money they should improve a LOT. I don't see that happening, so I am sticking with what I see as quality product. Problem? #dealwithit

How about quotes by a creative director at Microsoft?  "Deal with it" in response to always on.  This, and other material floating about makes it a distinct possibility.  As for yourself, you decided it doesn't matter, so why are you concerned about whether it had been said or not?  For you, even if Microsoft does announce it, you are going to buy one any way, so why are you concerned about my asking people IF the rumors are true, what exclusives would they have that would keep them sticking with Microsoft.  

You apparently show concern over features you don't care about being implemented for some reason.  Maybe you a concerned there IS a decent backlash by people that could cost your belived next Microsoft console at a shot at winning.  Maybe you can start an Orthy fan club, which tells people to relocate from places with bad Iinternet connectivity, and also has the motto: "Deal with it".

You know, I can't find quotes regarding Game Room either on Microsoft's website at this point.  Game Room must of vanished.  And heck, Major Nelson has his own URL, and it doesn't have Microsoft, so it mustn't be real either, based on your insistence on xbox.com being key. It is in the product catalog, but Microsoft buried it.  You won't find word of the 1000+ games for Game Room in 3 years on their site any longer, so they never promised anything like that, right?

They did not deny what was reported, and the rumors.  Note the info on the Durango SDK floating out there.  Microsoft's press release ends up pointing to the atttiude Orth showed, not what he said.  Just they haven't said anything at all.

Say that Sony decides to not go always on, and allows used games, but Microsoft goes blocked used game sales and always connected to Internet?  Is there any particularly XBox 360 exclusive franchises so desiraable, that you would not switch to Sony?

If there are, can you mention them below?

IThe question was: If the following does happen, what exclusive XBox 360 franchises are so deserable that people would put up with it and not switch to Sony.  That was a question IN RESPONSE TO THE RUMORS.  You ask for where the rumors came from, then I posted that.  And you end up morphing a question about what exclusives are worth sticking with Microsoft over, and you make it out as myself saying there is stuff Microsoft said.  You decided to get off the subject of Microsoft exclusives that are really appealing and morph it into something else.  The post is very hypothetical, and in keeping with the discussions on here.

Next up, your job is to complain to the moderators on here about EVERY SINGLE THREAD that has people in an uproar over it, because you insist people wait.  Or heck, maybe you just want ME to wait for information.  Well, I tend to find that people generally don't respond to the wishes of others over the Internet, so let's count you as one of the masses out there with yet another wish that won't get honored.

I am just wondering if Always online is really seen that bad because people seem to not care that Steam is pretty much this way. The new steambox is rumored to be exactly this way but people seem really excited about the prospect of that console device.

Hell, you have Blizzard selling millions of their games that cannot be played unless your PC is hooked to the internet but that has not stop those games from selling. Is everyone really all that against online only for their next console.

You can run Steam offline actually.  There is a connect once regarding things.  But, unlike what is being said with the next Microsoft console, if you lose connections after a few minutes of play, the program will shut down, and try to reconnect.

I stand corrected on Steam.  I just checked out the offline mode and see there is a process in place.  I do not use steam alot so the last time I tried was when I did not have an internet conenction and attempted to load the orange box on my PC and it would not let me play the game because I did not connect to steam.

LOL I think Jega's signature needs updating. He didn't say anything that bad to get banned, unless Kantor deleted the offending material, IMO.  [edit:  He was needlessly provocative, but I don't think enough so to deserve a ban, unless he had already recently received warnings about similarly provocative behavior and been warned that a ban could result from the next case.]  

On topic, I would definitely protest "always on" by declining to purchase the console. I also declined to pay for Xbox Gold, but that was a practical decision as I also own a PS3. If I'd had only the 360, I might have caved in.

Microsoft would pretty much need Nintendo to sign on as an exclusive Durango publisher for me to cave in to "always on".
