Maybe. Most likely because they know their fanbase is on the PS3 right now (and isn't going anywhere for a while). It's just the safest and most lucrative choice till the PS4 picks up steam.


Makes sense. Hoping this is true because I plan to get/rent/borrow a PS3 soon to play some real Tales games.

I've pretty much accepted Vesperia as a lost cause for me. Shame.

This really isn't a surprise at all. PS3 is the only home console that's actually alive in Japan at the moment.

Although if they follow the normal Tales release schedule, the new Tales would end up as PS4 launch title, which would definitely shift consoles in Japan. But overall software sales would hurt.

Because I don't plan on getting a 360 nor have I found anyone willing to rent it out for a reasonable price. Pretty much they want me to pay for the LIVE time they'll be missing out on. I ain't having none of that.

I don't recall any launch day Tales game. I'd give it 2 more years and we should see the first one on PS4 or at least have it announced.

I still have so much to look forward to for the PS3 though in terms of JRPG: Tales of Xilia 1/2, Legend of heroes and toki to towa. Of course can't forget the eventual kind of JRPGs: Persona 5.

well there is an english patch being made for the ps3 version of Tales Of Vesperia but there's no telling when they will be done with it though

well there is an english patch being made for the ps3 version of Tales Of Vesperia but there's no telling when they will be done with it though

By then I'll likely be knee-deep in other games so I've pretty much given up on it.
