Aww, that's awesome, I'm pleased for your 3DS owners. Having sat through the whole Final Fantasy Type-0 ordeal I understand how frustrating this is.

It looks like a really good game. And I'd love to play it in the future when I pick up a 3DS.

They really need to change that name lol.

Apparently the name is crucial to the gameplay and whatnot.

The thing they should REALLY change is the boxart.

Square isn't a major offender. There's only been one major titles in years that they haven't brought over (FF Type-0).

Other than DQX and the two 3DS DQ remakes.

DQ X popped up on Amazon France and had a Pegi 12 rating. Though, they've taken down that page. But if DQ X is coming, DQ VII should be obvious (the game just came out recently anyway. No point in assuming that it's not coming this soon. People are too quick to jump the gun.)

I think Terry's Wonderland and Rocket Slime 3 are lost causes though.

I'm not assuming it's not coming, but SMT4 is already confirmed for America and it's not even out in Japan yet. DQVII came out, what, two months ago? All they have to say is "it's coming." Even with Bravely Default, they haven't actually confirmed it. Just a bunch of people have personally said it's coming. Where's the announcement?

I don't need games to come out simultaneously in all regions or within three months or within a year; all I ask for is a little more transparency. Tell us what you are and aren't localizing, Square and other companies. If we knew for sure Bravely Default was coming Holiday 2014 it would be better than not knowing whether it was coming at all.

Gotta say, love the artstyle and the music of this game from what I've seen/heard of it.

Hope that the rest of the game is just as good. (Though I don't like random battles)

Wow. I give at least 9-12 months before thinking, "well, where's the announcement". Especially on a series that no one really cares about in the West.

I would be much more patient if it weren't for all the people saying, "hey, don't worry, it's coming." If you can say that, if you're not breaking some kind of NDA by telling everyone that, why hasn't there been an official announcement? Just why not? Especially with other companies stepping up their game as much as they have, Atlus bringing SMT over so soon, Pokémon getting a simultaneous global release -- the silly two-year localization delays have got to end, even with lesser-known series and new IP. It's partly a marketing matter. 20 years ago, you wouldn't even have heard about Bravely Default until it was announced for America. These days, we know about it almost as soon as Japanese gamers do -- and if we have to wait an entire additional year for the game, that's a lot of time for the hype to die down. It benefits Square Enix to either localize the game in a timely manner or keep the hype train rolling by trickling information to us about the game until it's ready for release. Letting it launch in Japan and then sitting on it with not a mention of the game in the West for over 6 months isn't helping them.

As for Dragon Quest, Terry's Wonderland 3D came out over 10 months ago, and at that point folks like Soriku are already declaring it a "lost cause." DQX came out over 8 months ago. DQVII may be a fairly recent release, but if they're announcing DQ XI for 3DS in Japan while at the same time announcing Terry's Wonderland 3D for America, no one is going to care about Terry's Wonderland, for the reasons I mentioned above.

Really. Square is a big company. It doesn't take that long to translate a game. It doesn't take that many resources. They should be able to do this small thing.

Now all it needs to do is not be 50 bucks.

Capcom is selling 4 GB 3DS cartridges for $19.99¢, as shown with Resident Evil Revealtions at GameStop, because they both still make a ton of money off the mark up to GameStop and GameStop to us consumers.

Doesn't BD: FF use a 2 GB cartridge and made by a Non-Capcom company.

My perspective is very different. I'm pleasantly surprised by the speed of most localizations. They're generally much faster than the awful waits for main FF games of old. I don't think the Game Boy remake for 3DS is going to come over. Maybe a smaller company might pick it up, but I don't see it being Square's time.

About Terry's Wonderland, well Nintendo said they will localize a lot of 3DS games themselves.
