Forums - Sony - Vita's Report Card [Japan] How Did The Price Cut Affect Sales?

So with comparing months February with the pre price cut and March post price cut, how did Vita fare?

Feb⇒ 9,138avg → 36,550(4weeks)
Mar⇒ 45,790avg→ 228,950(5weeks)*

With many titles coming out including huge titles as Soul Sacrifice/ Bundles/ etc it became over 5 times more sales! Now in the next two weeks with a drought of vita games where will it stabilize?

its doing pretty well, but it could still use some more software...

Sony needs to drop the price on the system everywhere else now, and market the console better

Advertise. The marketing on the side of the product is a boat that already sailed, unless they make a redesign. They can always redefine the target audience aswell.

i thought sales after pricecut were average at best, but if it holds up to this volume of sales it might pave the way to success faster than we thought

Good but nothing more.. 3DS had already swamped the market when they decided to cut the price.
But still, they can release a "slim" model or something like that !

Sales bump was expected, but the hold is pretty good. Vita might stabilize at 20K or even 25K. That would be great!

Good job, Vita. Looks like it's settling down in the 30-40k range, not too shabby at all.
