I think the next Mario Party will do just fine and prove this theory incorrect.

I agree.. Since the dead of millions and millions of families, soccermoms, childeren and hardcore who are so hardcore that they even play mini game collections I just don't see the market for these kinda games..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)
You know that Nintendo land is above Tomb raider reboot combined as of today?
I guess Uncharted type games are starting to fade away too...
these games sell systems like crazy on christmas, and their legs are just painful to others new games.

You are forgetting Lego City Undercover, Pokemon Rumble U, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge, and possibly Bayonetta 2, Project X, SMT vs Fire Emblem and whatever Retro is working on.
That's 5 out of possibly 18 titles. Not quite the half you were claiming.
And all the other games they've announced for next year are not mini-game collections either.
You also need to take into consideration that the 5 games you did list were planned 1-3 years ago if not longer. Your insight today may be fantastic but go back 3 years ago and try to tell me that you'd expect a Nintend Land style title to sell what you perceive (incorrectly I might add) today as a flop.
The rEVOLution is not being televised
And here comes another "I hate Nintendo" thread... oh well....
Minigames collection will never be system-sellers, neither that was that the purpose of Nintendoland. Some of them made a lot of success in the past, but I believe nobody expect these type of games to sell a lot - but they actually sell.
By the way, Game&Wario did better than expected, ranking 10th even with the yet small WiiU install base and only 03 days of sales. And we still don´t know the dlc numbers for it. I thought that it wouldn´t rank higher than 15th, since it´s not a popular franchise.

Just wanted to say, WarioWare: Smooth Moves came out in december to only 65K FW sales in japan and went on to sell 728K...judging a minigame/microgame collection based on FW is kinda silly. I don't expect Game & Wario to make big numbers anywhere but I do expect to see some degree of legs. I may even purchase it if i see it cheap enough, it actually looks like fun (rhythm heaven-esque sometimes)
