If you're content competing with 6/7 year old units, who am I to disagree? I find the XMB to be incredibly slow, especially in comparison to my laptops.

yea, the PS3 is slow - vita instantenously switches to the menu

but does this close the software or supsends it into the back ground? then does it close it or does it still stay suspended (i.e. like a mobile phone app)?

Because actual closing of software will never get to instantanous, even PCs take a second or two or slighly more lol to close PC games.

you press the ps butto and it immediately suspends it. And then you can close the game in less than a second. It's pretty much instantanous.

Where's the 360 in this comparison?

it suspends it into the background, but then you can close it, which is pretty immediate aswell

pretty much like closing something in android

And I thought the XMB was slow.

AH that is pretty cool. I don;t knwo if consoles or PCs will ever get there any time soon as they seem to liek adding more and more stuff into the UI lol.

If they can all get it down to say 3-5seconds I think that will be ok.

Cerny afaik said, that immediacy was one of the points they focussed on in PS4 development, so actually I hope they manage to create a really tight UI experience, like the Vita already has.

The authors searched whole of Japan and just couldn't find one.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

Yet they found a Wii U interesting.

The Wii U should be renamed to...
Wiik U

Still a bit slower than PS3; embarrassing, but a drastic improvement over what it was.

embarrassing is correct
