Epic really dropped the ball this time because every time expectations of the fans are so high.

I feel like this comparison is apples and oranges.
There are higher expectations for Gears. People expect a total package, great campaign and multiplayer. The campaign is a blast but multiplayer too slim on content.
In a God of War game... I just wanna mash buttons, kill big monsters, and see violent stuff happen. The multiplayer in GoW:A... It seems a lot of people are pretty indifferent.

I don't see how it's surprising. God of War is a much more quality series. Gears fans are divided.
People don't like change. There are always people who complain about changes from game to game. The fact you spent time looking this up even though you don't own the game is laughable. It's common knowledge that people don't like change. You can look up any sequel or prequel and there will always be at least 1 person sooking about it.
This is just another ms vs Sony thread in a pathetic disguise. Grow up.

You're right. I would argue, however, that angry people tend to write angry letters while happy people tend to silently enjoy their happiness. Only the very happy take the time to thank developers for their happiness while everyone with a minor complaint that they believe is earth shattering thinks they need to tell the world how terrible it is.
Developers have to distinguish between the legitimate concerns of their devoted fans and the entitlement filled rants of those who feel crushed by the ever rolling wheel of progress. Gears of War: Judgment, Halo 4, and God of War Ascension all bring new and better things to the table. If devs listened to the angry rants of those who feel entitled we would have, Gears of War 1: 3, Halo 2: 3 and God of War 3: 2.
I think it's best to ignore those who rail against change and the enhancements that it brings when it still feels like the series. Halo 4 feels like a Halo game, it's just better.
I'm not saying that those who are unhappy are wrong or they shouldn't be able to express themselves. I'm just saying that when I read their complaints I rarely find anything more than, "I want it my way".
Haha, my friend who is the biggest Gears fanatic you will find was ranting about how much Judgement sucks. Probably for the best, now I can save some much needed cash. I'll just buy it when it hits $40 or something.
That's not good. I'm nervous about opening my GoW: Judgement. I usually trust the M$ fan-base regarding reviewing games because they are not blinded by loyalty.

If I were you'd I'd read the complained and decide for yourself if their complaints fall in line with your tastes or if, like me, you would enjoy the game for being different and trying new things.

2nd this, I fail 2 see why people are dissapointed with GOWA, as a hack and slash game I feel it delivers.
