Since upgrading to W8, I can no longer logout from this forum.... it just jumps to an old post of mine instead of logging out (??)

WTF...do you guys even know how to use Windows 8...

Considering I just got it today, the answer would be "No".

I completely agree, I'm a big windows guy and to me this just screamed lack of user testing.  Considering the guy who was in charge it's not a surprise, but hopefully they are user testing right now to get windows 8 back on track.

I think it is fair to say that windows 8 is a very unfriendly interface.  The bones of the program may be good but the presentation is subpar. 

Windows 8 is actually great once you get used to it. Forget about IE and just download Chrome (that should help with the posting and Pandora issues you are having). If you put your mouse to the right top or bottom of the screen it will bring up a sidebar that has many useful features.

Also download the shell start button which puts the desktop to normal.

Additionally one of the best unknown features of Windows 8 is this: When you're on the metro interface; simply type whatever app or program you want to use and press enter (or pick from the list it brings up).

If the metro interface is giving you problems, you don't need to use it. My laptop has windows 8 and I just quickly click the desktop mode whenever I turn it on and run programs that way instead of using the metro versions. No start bar is kind of annoying but I just added a shortcut for My Computer and search and haven't really had any issues with windows 8 after doing so. As far as I can tell running Internet Explorer or Chrome on windows 8 is identical to windows 7 if you just use the normal versions instead of the metro versions.

Incase you don't know, to leave the metro interface just click on the bottom left of the screen.

Edit: Woops didn't see your post where you figured out how to access desktop mode. As long as you use that your experience will be nearly identical to that on windows 7. 

Play around with it for a couple days before you begin to judge it, take advatage of google and the Windows 8 help it's really good. 

And considering I don't care at all what Windows 8 does, the answer would be "No", even after three months of W8 use. I have the symbol bar at the bottom with the programs I want, the desktop icons I want, everything just like in XP before, so why would I care? And yes, there are a few grave design faults built into W8, and the full screen "buy XBox gamesadds" are annoying at best (somehow when I click around, I often end up on that part of W8). More problems I have with my new beQuiet ps, three months old and my pc has started to reboot in minute's intervals...
