Revelations is the game RE6 should have been.

Nah dude. I whole heartly defend RE6. It may be different from traditional RE games, but i am having a blast playing through it with my lil bro. Revelations looks pretty damn good and i'll be picking it up, but i wouldn't have RE6 any other way.

For my view, reword that to "I would have RE6 any other way." ;)

Sorry matey, got Revelations on 3DS. Ill probably pick it up when it hits bargain bins on PS360. Just to much out there I havnt played yet to fork out full value on a game thats just basically had a spit and shine and a few new bolts added. Love the game though and its highly recommended.

I understand where you are coming from though. Still, I really don't see why it gets the hate it does however. The controls are a huge step-up, best in the series. The dodges/slides/acrobatics work so well and are very rewarding when pulled off. Melee combat, although fairly basic, is actually extremely helpful in a pinch. The story is about as good as any other RE, the series is not really known for outstanding storytelling or dialogue for that matter. The co-op is phenomenal and a blast to play through in split-screen. The intertwined stories and 4 co-op sections are a nice addition. It has plenty of unlockables, thropies, difficulties, online modes, mercenaries. I can honestly say it is the best RE to date overall and i've been playing since resident evil survivor  and have beaten 2, 3, code veronica, 4, 5, Outbreak file's 1 and 2, Gaiden on the gameboy and survivor for the PS1. Oddly enough, i got close to finishing RE1 but never did :(

It is true that RE has strayed away from its survival horror genre (with Leon's campaign being the closest to resemble it) but games evolve. Back then, survival horror was a fairly new, undiscovered genre and capcom took advantage of that with RE. Now, action shooter dominate the market so that's where the focus was put towards. We can't get more REs if they don't sell. Granted, RE6 could have very well sold the same as RE5, if not more had it went to a more survival horror campaign but we won't know that until it gets some sort of reboot or when revelations drops on consoles.

I'll get it when price drops. May is a bad month for me.

I alrealdy have ZombiU, which is a great survivor game, and Revelations for the 3DS. I won´t buy this version, as I still need to complete a lot of Raid Mode missions, but I strongly recommend it to anyone. It´s a great game. If you can afford that, buy both, ´cause ZombiU has a completely different approach and it´s a great challenge

same here.... but I will buy week 3 when goes cheaper! and btw I played Revelation twice and I have just noticed the raid mode.... not sure I know what they are....

Switch!!!
