i voted for 3D land because that is the one i want to play the most.

OoT if you never got to play the Master Quest on the GC port.

3D Land if you love 3D Mario.

NSMB2 is kinda meh. NSMB U is a worthy game over the orginal.

Just dont get nsmb2...if you have never played OoT get that...you can't go wrong withthe best game ever made. But Marioland served me well on an overseas trip, once upon a time (I remember it well!)

Of those three...
Ocarina of Time...
Also consider Fire Emblem...
That one will take plenty of time to beat...
Tales of the Abyss and Devil Survivor Ovserclocked are two third-party games that would take a while on your first play through...
Also consider Kid Icarus...

Have a nice day...

If you've never played Ocarina of Time, I vote for that. The original is often regarded as the best video game ever made, I think IGN has it on the top of their top 100 poll. Plus the gameplay is solid and there are so many side quests.

Super Mario 3D Land is also an excellent choice, but it's a shorter game then Ocarina of Time, and you might get sick of Mario with Mario Kart there too.

Note that Ocarina of Time will last between 7 to 15 hours depending on how much you care for side quests, exploration and how many times you get stuck (since you haven't played it before). Double this number if you plan to replay the game after unlocking the mirrored world with new level designs and tougher enemies.

Gotta ask... How fast do you run through this game?!

I've finished it about six times in total since 1998 (three times on N64, Master Quest once on GC and both the original and Master Quests on 3DS), so I know the location of every floortile in this game, but it still lasts me almost 30 hours on a normal playthrough. If I go for some of the usual sidequests that time quickly closes in on 50 hours .

With the two playthroughs it got on my 3DS, OoT3D is my most played game on the system, with 81 hours.

Well, at least I recall it taking 7-9 hours on average for me :|

I gotta replay this game soon to find out for sure. I'll let you know the result!

I do admit that I am someone who likes to take a little time in games like this though, so the possibility is certainly there that you're correct. I don't run around aimlessly or anything like that, but I normally don't use warping or stuff like that and I go out of my way to search for stuff (like the Skulltula's in OoT). Skyward Sword lasted me over 70 hours on a single playthrough . It's definitely not impossible to be quick, I know the world-record (without glitches) is like, 2 hours... .

Just picked up OOT 3D. Thanks everyone!
