So I got God of War III for next to nothing just to see what this franchise's fuss was about. Got 'til halfway through the underworld. To say the least, my impression: "D**n, talk about epic!"

On-topic, half the sales of an earlier iteration of a series is no real surprise, when it's so late in the generation. Will do good numbers either way. There will be a GoWIV, no worries.

Ye I've got to the last part with the 2 wraiths but those are a bloody pain to kill. Isn't there a patch coming out soon? Seriously, why is there no checkpoints or health dropping enemies? Its not impossible but its made a lot worse for me because I only have 2 magic bars and not full health..

Hopefully the American sales are just as good as GOW 3. It should easily get past the 4 million mart that way

Poor sales in the UK of GOW:A but expected. It's not really a well-known franchise in the UK. I'm surprised 3 sold as much as it did actually in the UK. I expect GeOW:J to have a much much stronger opening.

Great sales for Tomb Raider, can't wait to get this game when the price comes down a bit!

nothing past the gorgons and sirens can break your block so just block until you see an opening and get a couple quick attacks in then block more.  Basically be extremely cheap but it worked for me.

Use the blades that is designed to extract health from enemies, and the centaurs drop green orbs in the third part of the trials. To me, once you pass the first part and you have just enough health you can pass the second part easily. The third part is a cake walk in part because of what I mentioned before.

That's what I'm talking about.

On topic, Yea it is early. Let's see how it does next week and in the US.

IF i were to say which GOW was teh best , then two was and three in terms of titan fights. For me the series is overrated. Actually teh newest GOW is damn easy. Not even challenging. Want a challenge ,, play the original ninja gaiden on the xbox. That on normal is harder then GOW on hard or even harder then GOW on titan difficulty. It didn't sell well because liek Gears of war, the series is finally hitting its fatigue stage as teh series hven't involved significantly to be fresh like tomb raider did henc e why Tomb raider rebbot is selling liek hotcakes at the moment. None the less its entertaining enough to waarant one completion and the multiplayer is fun but not balanced.

So, If you are talking about GOW1-2 I guess you have played them right? If so, GOW: Ascension is the hardest GOW game yet too. So believe me, you will have your challenge.  And the multiplayer if you actually try to learn the mechanics, and not complain about it, you will notice that it is balanced AND entertaining.
