I personally think it is an atrocious idea. I have said it countless times. Nintendo needs to stop with the rampant over the top cloning. They don't need another brother. They need to be focusing on creating entirely new properties, and set them as far apart from the Mushroom Kingdom as is possible. Another brother is basically doubling down on the same old same old.

If Nintendo feels it needs another platforming character. Then it needs to have a presence that is distinctly all of its own. It shouldn't be leaching off of the existing art assets, and it should have nowhere near the same mechanics. I don't why anyone here would have the stomach for another dialed in character.

What?! Mario characters are great their is nothing wrong with having more, and more introduced. It seems that Nintendo is too scared to create an entirely new IP/Franchise. Instead they are making new franchises from existing characters of the Mushroom Kingdom, and it seems to be working well, so if they aren't confident in making entirety new franchises and the want to play it kind of safe, well then I am completely here for it.
