Unfortunately I don't believe those numbers. It looks like the site just doesn't care anymore.

Yeah. Ps3 #1? It must be a mistake.

Not true at all. Indeed, I'd be surprised if it wasn't 1st this week. I'd just imagine it the be further ahead if anything.

I don't get why people think I have an issue with Sony. I love my Sony consoles, arguably moreso than my Nintendo ones!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

A weird mistake happening for over 6 years now*g*
Vita taking soon 3rd spot - Europe and Japan pushing Sony.I know why i love both territories so much.
WiiU really needs games - depressing.

Yeah. I'm happy they've adjusted the numbers based on NPD, but what was the point of doing that if they're just going to fall back into the trap of undertracking everything the following week? Just to have to make more adjustments after March's NPD.

It's a shame. I still love checking the numbers here every week, but I just wish they were a bit more diligent in making changes when we get some official figures. It's been two months since we had the 2012 NPD, yet not a single piece of 3DS software has been adjusted based on that. On top of the Wii-U/360/PS3 tracking errors people have already mentioned.

It's good to see Tomb Raider doing well. It's such a fantastic game.

Anyways haven't done this for a while. Halo 4 is really falling behind Halo: Reach. Maybe it won't sell much more than Reach did. I thought it had a small chance of 12 million but now I'm not even sure of 10.5-11 million.

Has global software just gone up or have I been completely missing it for the past few hours? O_o

I don't know what tracking they've been using for Japanese software. Last week they stuck to Media.Create's numbers exactly (as in, not a single digit difference); this week them seem to have completely ignored it and gone for a mash up of Media Create & Famitsu, which has put Soul Sacrifice higher than Miku somehow. Odd.

Also just noticed 11 of the top 12 games are new.  Don't see that too often.  Damn Animal Crossing!

I agree, i love checking out the numbers here aswell and there's nothing wrong with some margin off error. But with the massive undertracking lately there's not much sense in doing it anymore...

I honestly think that the community is keeping the site alive. I love numbers, but each time I care less for them and I come here just for the forum.

No Global topic yet. So I'll do it here. PS3 is inching to 1 million gap. Should reach it soon under a mill before the summer finishes.

It should already be under a million. Unfortunately this site doesn't look to be doing adjustments anymore...

it did do the adjustments, 3ds was at 29.28 now its over 29.5mil cuz of week ending mar9th and NPD

Do you think that was the only thing that needed adjusting? PS3 and 360 are both undertracked by at least 1m WW and the only thing we saw this week were some minor adjustments up, by 100-200k, because of NPD. Still no word on the other necessary adjustments. And now they seem to be falling back to the same old pattern of undertracking week after week. Why is PS3 down so much this week on last week for example? Expect another month of undertracking once March NPD comes out. It will be way worse when we get shipment numbers.

Actually, I think they are waiting for shipment numbers to adjust.  You never know if someone decided to flood the channel or not.  MS seems to have done it in 2011, seeing as they had ~2M units in the channel after the holidays.  Personally, I still think the 360 is only undertracked by ~500K.  This would put 1.8M in the channel at the of 2012, which seems a more realistic number.  Of course, if we want to say that both had 1.5M in the channel, this would still put the 360 at ~800K undertracked, while the PS3 is still at least ~1.4M undertracked.  So, at most, the gap is ~600K.

Edit:  The reason I believe 500K is closer to the real number is because I think MS stuffing the channels was done this year, as well, since they slashed the price on bundles by $50 for consumers (and most likely retailers) temporarily for the holiday season.  There may also be proof in the fact that Amazon still has 3 Holiday Bundle SKUs available, and it's been over two and a half months since the holidays.
