I still think they should remove thos reviews personally.  They are just begging for hits and says nothing about what the game is actually like.  But yeah ii mentioned that in my above statement.  Im sure there is other games that get these trollish reviews as well.

You know maybe Metacritic should change their system from an average score to a median score. That way incredible high scores or incredible low scores wouldn't change the outcome nearly as much.

That isn't a bad idea at all to be honest.  I most of the time agree with metacritic but if it starts being a trend for reviewers to troll popular games just to get hits I'm all up for change.  


yup basically metracritic is like this for me.

74--79 good

80-84 very  good

85-90 great

90-99 excellent.

For me 

95-99 Pretty much perfect

90-94 superb

85-89 Great

84-80 Good

70-79 - Average/Mediocre.  That does not mean bad, i just dont know how else to say it.

69 and below is usually just bad

And Yeah Lego City looks lik it may finish around a 79 which is a little upsetting to be honest.  I was hoping for a great game but ill still play it most likely.  i havent played my WiiU since launch -_-

Unfortunately the kid gloves still seem to be on as far as reviewers are concerned. I just watched a video review for the game that qualified the score based upon the platform. As in it is on the Wii U so they lowered their standards. It is basically the same thing a lot of reviewers used to do with games for the Wii. They didn't take the platform at all seriously, and thus didn't take reviewing games for it seriously.

As perverse as it may actually sound. Edge might actually be the fairest reviewer on the list as far as consumers are concerned. They may be giving their readers more credit. Then other reviewers who are candy coating their reviews, because they think you their readers aren't very sophisticated. Personally I would feel somewhat insulted if someone assumed that I didn't know what actual quality was.

So it is about equal to God of war Ascension in terms of meta. Pretty decent score then!

LOL! Real reviewers gave Halo 4 a 2/10?! For shame!!


Quarter to Three (who gave Halo 4 a 2/10) seem to be living on a different planet to most professional reviewers; with a completely different review scale to boot.  Whether that's a good thing or not is up to interpretation, but the points they've raised as problems in multiple reviews have been naff.  So in my mind, they're not really a real reviewer :P

 

OT: Hope any of you guys buying the game in 4 days enjoy it.  Looks lovely.
