Forums - Sales - February 2013 NPD Thread - 360:302k, PS3:~270k, 3DS:~191k, Wii:~100k, Wii U:66k, PSV:38k

WOW, 3DS is around 200k? Undertracked by around 130k -- 150%?? Damn. Even I didn't hope for anywhere near that much.

Wii U undertracked about what I expected. The analysis about returns impacting January sales was probably correct, but Wii U sales weren't around 80k like the guy expected them to be.

Good to see Vita getting positive adjustments. Good to see everything getting upward adjustments, actually. The industry is not as doomed as it seemed -- apocalypse cancelled, go home doomers!

So any confirmation about hardware numbers from Creamsugar or are people still playing the guessing game from last month?

you guys forgot wii sold 130k last month.

So the 360 is undertracked by 100k.
PS3 is also massively undertracked.
Nintendo HW: 195k vs 455k.

Seriously? I'm almost impressed.

Fire Emblem did very well. Those digital sales are quite impressive.

I'm sorry to be that guy but... I've been saying Fire Emblem has been overtracked here for weeks, but I've been getting an earful about how it's performing well digitally so must be selling well physical.

VGChartz has a trend which has yet to be broken of overtracking JRPG's. Persona 4; Ni No Kuni... there was no doubt that Fire Emblem would follow. I realise it's a shame, but people have got to stop getting blinded by love of a game and actually look at the situation surrounding it. It's disappointing it didn't sell better, but not surprising.

ANYWAY

Horrific tracking here lately. Absolutely horrific. I'm pleased all hardware has done better than the numbers were have here though. Excellent for Xbox, really impressive number. Looking like it's going to be a big increase for PS3 too, which is pleasing. And I'm happy that PSV isn't as dreary as the outlook we have here for it. Wii-U as well, at least it's doing a lot better than our 37k.

Seems like Sly Cooper is pretty much spot on. That's... well, at least it's not overtracked I suppose. I wish it had sold better. Maybe we'll actually get a concrete figure for it. It's hard to tell how close we were here. "More than 119k" gives a lot of scope, really :P

Did it? So 130/5 weeks = 26k/week, times 4 weeks would be about 104k in Feb if it maintained its weekly average. 100k sounds like a good guess to me in that case. Wii should be falling at this point.

not really, considering feb always see a 20% increase in sales from january, i think the proves the analyisis as false, 360/ps3 sold better in feb, and so did the wiiu.

Those were just my guesses. There could be any other combination really, like Wii = 150k and 3DS = 150k. Kind of hard to believe that Wii would sell that much though.

wii games are still in the top 100 charts though! SSBB, Mario Kart Wii, NSMB Wii, etc!

PS3 at 270k and Wii 100k must likely. Remember ms 41% number include Wii U just like last month. They dont consider Wii U next gen so thats why.
