There are plenty of reasons to be excited about investment in Xbox, but the ones Patcher gives are not based in reality. I would feel apprehensive about the advice he gives investors.

I read the thread title and tough t myself, how can this guy make this prediction with the scenario as it is right now ? Has he been abducted by Toastboy. But than I saw it was an old post, and it all made sense.

Doesn't matter. No sticking up for Pachter on this one. This was a MAJOR prediction by a well paid analyst, and so far he is completely wrong and will be in the end. I'm never gonna let this thread go away.
This is conclusive evidence that he has no idea what he is talking about and will serve well once we somehow permaban this joke from this site.

To be fair with the guy, back in 2012 and early 2013 everybody was so sure that MS could do nothing wrong while Sony on the other hand would screw themselves somehow.

He wasn't alone in this prediction.

Microsoft just need to keep up the exclusives with good reviews. Indies are all coming so slowly ps4 is looking pretty much a 3rd party machine only atm. I only really see uncharted trying to compete with halo 5, quantum break and rise of the tomb raider. Bloodbourne is coming next year. Butsales will be low for that game as history shows.

Sony are throwing it all away.

tell yourself that enough and you might just beleive it one day! Gran Turismo 7 will be SOny's answer to Halo not Uncharted. Just conveniently forget other exclusives like LBP, Bloodbourne, the last of us and likely some big japanese games. 


Gt7 won't be out till 2016 earliest. And Gt has yet to review better than forza for the last 3 Gt games. It will be Gt7 vs forza 6 Xmas 2016 on metacritic.
