Forums - Gaming - Is the SimCity fiasco putting you off buying the game or other EA products?

- Users threatened with bans for requesting refunds

I'm not trying to defend EA here but if you read the conversion in the screen capture you had posted here before, the EA support rep was not threatening a ban for simply requesting a refund. He was threatening a ban if the customer were to go through their bank to have a chargeback done on the purchase.

The problem with the servers is the same like every other game that requires online to play, like Diablo 3. So this will get better over time.
I already saw 40 minutes of gameplay and it looks pretty decent.

I will probably still buy the game in summer, at retail, because I don't feel like making an origin account.

howd i know this was a radishthread

You will still have to create an account, I'm afraid

I was already being put off of EA, but I was still considering the next Battlefield, but on PC. Now I'm done with even that.

I'm simply not going to support them at all until I see changes in their approach.

The trouble with that is he didn't threaten him with a ban straight after he mention going through the bank for a refund the conversation continued , then he threatened him.

Research shows Video games  help make you smarter, so why am I an idiot

The last game I bought from EA was a digital copy of Mirror's Edge on PSN. The last thing from EA I bought before that was Road Rash II on Sega Genesis...

I don't see why people give them so many chances. I wont buy anything else from EA unless it's Mirror's Edge 2 (assuming it doesn't suck) or a new Road Rash game (assuming it doesn't suck.)

Notice how I wont get those two games if they suck. But, that's where EA is with me. So, I don't care what they do, I'm not buying from them anymore... Capcom is close to screwing up with me too.

Fucking Brazilians hacking my 360 spending points on shit for fifa put me off buying EA games. EA are the shittest games company going.

If everybody stopped supporting them (looking at Dead Space 3 sales it looks like its already happaped) the industry would genuinely be better off.

I allow myself one vice when it comes to EA and thats Mass Effect, and even then I brought the last 2 games used.

EA is the reason why I dont buy EA games :) The SimCity fiasco actually makes me happy and not sad or angry ;)
