Nah I just live in a small 2 bedroom apt.  My porch is right next to my living room where my Wii U is.  Basically, I was just being a smart ass.

I can take mine to my upstairs bedroom and lay in bed while playing. :P

Is your bedroom directly above the room that your Wii U is in?

Yep. But it works as I go up the stairs and that takes me to the opposite side of house. Though I haven't tried it in other bedrooms.

My range doesn't seem to be as good. It works perfect in my bedroom because the Wii U is on the other side of the wall. It works good in my bathroom even with door closed but sometimes it loses a little connection which is quickly restored. I suppose it work flawlessly in my bathroom with door open but I'd rather spare my roommate. Funny thing is that she always know when I am about to take a shit because I bring the gamepad into the bathroom.
