My range doesn't seem to be as good. It works perfect in my bedroom because the Wii U is on the other side of the wall. It works good in my bathroom even with door closed but sometimes it loses a little connection which is quickly restored. I suppose it work flawlessly in my bathroom with door open but I'd rather spare my roommate. Funny thing is that she always know when I am about to take a shit because I bring the gamepad into the bathroom.
