It might the week of a price cut.
Luigi's Mansion, Animal Crossing, and Pokemon do present a problem for Vita though.
Vita's best chance for recovery is in Japan. All it needs is a Monster Hunter game, which I'm sure will come.

But when it come? In 2015 ? The problem is, it's too late. And Capcom not going to abandon 3DS series fanbase (last gen ALL portable MH was on PSP only). Vita never going to be like PSP w/Monhun.

In the end PSV can find its niche on dedicated handheld market, but not going to lead it. I think everyone understands it right now. Maybe Sony will bundle it w/PS4 or so in the future.

Oh, I completely agree that it's not going to lead the market; at this point that would be ludicrous to even suggest. But it can still be successful without winning the sales war; see the 360 and PS3, for example.

And Sony systems tend to have long lifespans, so even if MH takes a while, it may not be too late.

Why would Capcom make a MH for the vita? The 3DS one is almost 2 million and still selling, the vita is not selling any good and all the capcom games on vita have bombed so I dont see any reason to waste resources and making a ground up(No one would want a simple port) MH game exclusively for vita and also if the vita only needed a MH to be succesful then it already lost because the game is out in the 3DS already

I don't think so, 3DS still has a huge amount of potential big software hits to come, including Pokemon X and Y later this year. Vita blew its load with Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed, there's not really anything else it can get that would be higher than those games.

Vita has no potential big games, selling 5K a week, and a total of 1.2 million.
3DS has lots of potential big games, including the top 3 biggest handheld franchise, currently selling 15K a week, and a total of over 8 million.

Pokemon, Monster Hunter...what's the last one?

Animal Crossing. Although I guess it could be Brain Age, Mario, Mario Kart, and a number of others that have sold very well. I guess I should have said something more like the top 7 =P

Animal Crossing is already out in it's strongest region so I wouldn't count that.

According to IGN, it's not out until June 9th in the US. There's also no sales listed for it on this site.

But it's already out in Japan. It's stongest region. 3million sold already. No way it'll do better in NA and Europe combined the way it's doing in Japan.

Traditional data shows that you're wrong. All of the Animal Crossing games did better in Europe and US combined than they did in Japan. In fact, two of them sold better in the US than in Japan.

Also, NA = US, not Japan.

Needs more support from developers and a pricecut otherwise it is almost impossible. also, haven't you seen how big the gap between the 2 handhelds in America is on a weekly basis? This week, 3DS 41000 and Vita 5000. It would take a lot to change this.
