When game after game in a series is exactly the same and in less or same quality without being improved

Guitar Hero is the one series that had been milked to death.

Basically  any game with more than 4 titles with the same general premise, character or brand name.

Sonic, Mario, Zelda, COD, MOH, BF, Ridge racer, gran turismo, Halo, etc etc.

Though i'm going to be honest, Nintendo has the most milked franchises ever, Zelda, Mario, Pokemon, etc sure you can say "b...b..but theres 5 gran turismo titles, prologue editions and concept editions!", yes, yes indeed, but the total pales in comparison to the number of mario, zelda and pokemon games, nintendo take risks with their hardware, to make up for the fact their software is the same old, every gen.

Sorry nintendo fans but it's true, if nintendo released a platformer, that was actually going to be a new mario, but they didnt include mario, and adjusted enemies to not resemble enemies from the mario universe, even if the game played exactly the same, had the same quality, and same overall feel, the mere fact it does not feature mario in the name or game, would result in it being a sub-par selling title.

I was going to say "When it's released on a Nintendo console" but Badgenome got to it first.

I don't think any of those first four franchises are milked. Mario reatins a level a quality across its release, which span many different genres. These genres only get releases every few years, and therefore are not milked. GTA, Halo and Gran Turismo, although they have had spin-offs etc, also generally only release every few years and and side-games are different enough with a decent identity of their own to add soemthing to the franchise rather than being a simple cash-in.

CoD is the obvious example of a milked franchise, as is Assassin's Creed (although I would have disagreed prior to the annoucement of ACIV). Dead Space and Mass Effect may not be milked franchises yet, but the publisher seems to be preparing to be milked. Why? Micro-transactions.

Except CoD all this franchises change and bring something new or don't release every damn year.

Mario?Sunshine,Galaxy,Classic  Mario and stuff
Gran Turismo?Doesn't release every year and is a huge update everytime.
Zelda?It has a timeline with different stories and the style and art is changing all the time.

CoD does even copy the environment 1:1 from previous games.It doesn't add anything at all to justify a full price game.
Every CoD could be a patch/DLC update - Even the DLC of Battlefield 3 is adding and changing the game all the time.

But wouldn't a heavilly milked breast be small?
