yes, I'm pretty level headed and not a hot head so I think I'd be fair.

I was walking down along the street and I heard this voice saying, "Good evening, Mr. Dowd." Well, I turned around and here was this big six-foot rabbit leaning up against a lamp-post. Well, I thought nothing of that because when you've lived in a town as long as I've lived in this one, you get used to the fact that everybody knows your name.

It's well known that one of the reasons I joined the site, and actually still hang around to this day, was to become a moderator. Tried several times and asked the head mod a few times, but bad luck came and stopped me from applying both times:

-Banned the first time (my only ban to date I believe) so I couldn't apply
-Was on holiday the second time (last year) and I asked Smeags to tell me when/if the thread went up whilst I was away. Seems like he had other things on his mind though...

So it looks like my chances of becoming a mod now are slim. However, next time a thread recruiting new mods go live, you can be sure I'll be first to file my application. I've learnt now. I mean, I know it's a thankless task and all that, but I don't care if it means I can assist the community in any way.
