I found an article, which is actually pretty rubbish, on Business Insider. The only intersting chart was this one:

While I always remain VERY sceptical with these kind of surveys and stats, it clearly shows that Smartphones / Tablets are leading PC and consoles.
After the Zynga-crash I think those 30% working on browser games might have some problems soon.

For the consoles you see the 360 leading, while the nextbox is ahead of the PS4 as well. The Wii U might have a hard time, but the fact that more developers are working on the PS Vita than the 3DS shows how messed up that survey really is.

I would like to point out that the 30% working on web browsers aren't necessarily working on facebook, they might be working for the likes of kongregate.

Why is the vita higher than 3ds?
Nevermind, it's because they only polled western developers, negating most of Japan from their research.

Also, that is way off, I don't understand this survey.

3DS, the most popular "pure" gaming system in the world at the moment, is at 2.84%.

Western developers, this is why I go for months at a time without playing your stuff.

This looks ridiculously slanted. Guess it's just slanted in favor of devs who actually go to GDC.

The survey is focused on Western Developers. That's why numbers look unreal.

The survey isn't messed up. It shows western stuff getting more support than Japanese which is why you see Microsoft consoles > Sony consoles and why you see Vita > 3DS. 3DS has INCREDIBLE Japanese support, it is western support that is lacking, and that is showing in the sales.

Oh wow them 3DS numbers.

Vita>3DS is hard to believe, esp when 3DS is selling better in the west.

This just reinforces the fact that localizations of Japanese 3DS games cannot happen fast enough.
