Forums - Microsoft - Next Xbox to be called "Xbox Live"?

The logos in that trailer does not look limited to just platforms. The logos in the AC IV trailer are.

Because it is only coming to 1 Nintendo platform

So you're saying that the xbox live logo is just a placeholder? Why would they even do that? It's not like its hard to slide logos left and right.

This is simpler. Also, I remember part of the reason for the mid-gen PlayStation 3 to PS3 rebranding was that you couldn't read the PlayStation 3 logo on images like this, as in order to take the same amount of space as Xbox, it had to be really squashed

The logo you are talking about is part of the both the ps3 and ps4 logos. Its not the ps1 logo.


Why is it there if both ps3 and ps4 are listed seperately? 


If it is the ps1 logo, why would they show it twice?

In regards to playstation 3 becoming PS3. That's not the result of each company getting equal overall space. It's that each logo has to be equal sized. Companies wouldn't want one logo to stand out more than others.

Yeah, so M$ want the same space as Sony. I don't think Nintendo matter as much to Ubisoft. This is what I mean by simpler, I don't literally meaning the coding

But 720 doesn't even make sense. Microsoft went with 360 because it meant that the console was not just for games. It meant that it would be a "well rounded" entertainment center. The name Xbox Live makes sense if Microsoft plans to have a console that is also connected.

It was called 360 because of the 360 degree Circle of lights on console and controller. 720 sounds stupid, like we're going round in circles.

Xbox Live is a trademarked service, not a console.

I'm gonna wager a guess, and say that they planned on showing this trailer before MS officially announced their next console. Xbox Live stands for just that.

They are 20000% not going to name the next xbox Live. That would just be ultimately failure lol


It xboxlive may be refering to next xbox because I assume this game would on microsofts games on demand service Day 1 which covers both the 360 and "720"...
