This gen still has some life in it. The majority of the PS4, 720, and Wii U's sales will come later in their life. I say take advantage of the current install base and then gradually phase them out in favor of their successors.

A nice and slow transition would be beneficial, I think. At least for the first couple years.

GT is Sony's biggest franchise. It has to be on PS4. GT7 won't be out till 2017. That is too long.

Releasing GT 6 ins PS3 is not a stupid thing to do.
If Sony succeed in creating a stigma that they support their console for long time then it bodes well for them in the future. Long term gain >>>>>> short term gain.

But seriously, it's great that Sony will continue to support the PS3 with high-profile software. Not everyone is ready (or able) to move on to the eighth generation.

GT6 on PS3 this year because it's already done... no new engine and even GT5 files shows a lot of new content like modes, cars, tracks, driving options, ets not implemented yet.

So or Sony releases GT6 for PS3 or the Spec 3.0 is coming.

The GT on PS4 (7 I guess) will be released just in 2015.
