No this would confuse neogaf into thinking it was a Nintendo 64.

Yeah, most casuals are thinking Wii U is an accessory for the Wii, making them also think it's an accessory for the N64 (like Rumble Pack etc) would make things even worse.

It's funny, Nintendo gives the Gamepad most of the attention during the Wii U introduction, and the haters (read...Sony fans) blast them for making people think that the Gamepad is just an attachment for the Wii. Sony unveils the PS4, doesn't show the system at all, but showcases the controller, and when people ask why they didn't show the system, they get attacked. What's to keep me from thinking that the PS4 isn't just a hideous controller for the PS3?

shush shush.... we are at a point were 32 GB is considered premium.

Considering that the diskless 360 only has 4GB flash memory and the diskless PS3 has 12GB, is 32 really that bad?  If you want more, just hook an external drive up.  We have 4 external drives in my house, so, I didn't even have to buy one.  If it had been built into the Wii U, the cost would have been higher, so I saved money this way.

Apples to Oranges. The top end WiiU doesn't have anywhere near the amount of storage a top end PS3 or 360 has.

Here's a way for Nintendo to shave the price of Wii U off by at least $100. Get rid of the gamepad. I know this sounds ludicrous but it could work. I think of it like Nintendo packaging a Wii U with 2 pro controllers and the pro controllers can control the game screen. If you want the Gamepad buy the pack with the gamepad, if you don't buy the one without it. You'll still get to play the games, the old fashioned way if you want. I think Nintendo should try to introduce this idea.

Or... if you want 4 player gamepad play then Nintendo should make gamepads that have limited technology which only transfers game data. It shouldn't do all the stuff the pad can actually do out of gameplay, only what is needed during the game. I think this will push alot more Wii U's out since the cost would go waaaaay down. The gamepad is brilliance but not everybody can pay for brilliance.

Ok this post made me lol

Playing Xenoblade 2 before I buy Xenoblade 3 (otherwise I couldn't wait to play 3).

Can they announce a new Fire Emblem? A remake of Genealogy or Tellius would suffice !

But but but .... even PS3 had 60GB 6 years ago. :( Shouldn't it be higher now? :/

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

This could be partly due to the unwavering base cost of hard drives - I.E. prices hover around the same point while capacities increase, thus defying the usual economies of scale that allow the bulk cost of simpler components (such as ICs) to drop. While this phenomenon provides value to the sort of consumers who occasionally upgrade their hard drives when they near capacity or hear scary TOKKING noises, it may well create a barrier for console manufacturers against price reductions to that "impulse buy" price point of 99 pounds / euros / bux / space credits. This, along with the old maxim that a console does around half of its sales at the aformentioned sweet spot, is why I wonder if the people criticising the Wii Mini are really all that savvy.

Well, flash memory is expensive, after all. The 32GB Vita stick is selling for about $100, that ain't cheap!

640 kB ought to be enough for anybody.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Is there such a thing anymore? or are we still living in 2006.
