the potentiol is amazing. it can bring back genre's from the dead. imagine an all new star fox like star fox 64. but in this you can mind blowing graphics and new more open levels (keep the same structure though). and with the VR headset you can look around the alien world as you are in the middle of the fight. it could be played while inside the cockpite and that would be insane. 

also i would LOVE a mario 64 remake with great graphics specially with this game in mind. M64 introduced me to the 3D world it would be amazing if it got me sucked into the 3D world quiet literally

Successful VR like Oculus Rift would be like 10 steps over what illumiRoom offers.  I do wonder if they'll make it cheap though.  How cheap is cheap though to you?

well the thing is, i already have a TV as does everybody. technically if this were as expensive as a tv that would make sense, but it doesnt really work that way. for me a 150$ price point seems like a mass market price for the thing (same price as kinect) if i had a job ATM i would be willing to fork out more if it was the real deal

i think you didn't really understand what illuminiroom or whatever it is called would be good for. just as hint, using only a projector instead of a tv and a projector wouldn't be the same^^

if you only use a projector you would only have a screen bigger as with your tv. that's not really what this tech is about.

if you only use a projector you would only have a screen bigger as with your tv. that's not really what this tech is about.


I get it, it's there's nothing not to get. It extentds the feild of view. So why not take the same projector and ditch the tv. pick your screen size, and it would do the same thing.

you really want to use only one projector to show what we would see with the tv+projector combination? how fucked up would the game look then if they would have to share one 1080p projection for the normal game graphics and the stuff they would normally use only the projector for with the tv+projector combination?

you really want to use only one projector to project what we would see on the tv and also the whole extra stuff they do with the tv+projector combination? how fucked up would the game graphics look then if they would have to share one 1080p projection for the normal game graphics and the stuff around it which they would normally use only the projector for in the tv+projector combination?


It would look the same. I don't see why you think it wouldn't. I mean the screen would be slightly washed out due to the nature of a projector, but other besides that there wouldn't be much of a difference.
