Guerrilla Games will unveils new IP for PS4 at E3 2014, "Looks Great, 1080p": Insider


We all know that apart from Killzone: Shadow Fall, Guerrilla Games were working on a brand new IP for PlayStation 4. Today via Twitter, well known Industry insider, Tidux shared some interesting details about it.

Firstly, Tidux revealed that Guerrilla Games are all set to reveal this new IP for Playstation 4. "Guerrilla Games are ready, are you? #PS4" tweeted Tidux.

When asked whether the announcement will be made at E3 2014: "and they are coming with it at E3 2014???" Tidux replied:

"YES".

When I enquired him further, how does it look on PS4? He confirmed that it runs at

"1080p and looks Amazing."

Sony are keeping their cards closed to their chest when it comes to details regarding content they will be showing at E3 2014, but thanks to these industry insiders we are getting some information on what we can expect to see at Sony's E3 2014 press conference.

Tidux has a pretty good track record of leaking information before its official announcement, he previously leaked information about PS4 OS and UI accurately. So we can't ignore him at all.

^^ Looking forward to it, but hope it's not just a shooter and has more to it. I think it's clear by now Guerrillla can't make a top quality straight up FPS

anyways, they already said that the new ip is "completely different" from Killzone.

Haven't played Shadowfall, but it doesn't sound like anything special.  Played all the others though, and they are good, but not great.  The best one was Mercenary and that was done by the Cambridge studio that has since closed.  What Killzone game do you think is absolute top quality?

it isnt closed, it just had some lay offs. they had their next party vita game cancelled according to famous, but this job listing also says that they also started working on a PS4 game too. so its possible that they had two teams, with one game being cancelled.

 

i consider all 3 killzone games top Quality. KZ2 > KZ3 > KZ:SF. sure, the story sucks, but the gameplay is a hell of a lot of fun and its very solid. the story mode in SF is meh, but multiplayer is pretty solid in every killzone. however, killzone just isnt for everyone and GG trying to make it for everyone has hurt their quality a bit.

Interesting story with the new GG IP unveil at E3, we'll see what is Tidux worth as an insider. I actually wasn't expecting it at E3 but rather at Gamescom if this year at all, but good to hear that at least one Sony studio is hard at work, that actually comes to fruition.
If the Japan Studio collab with From proves true it will be a funny reverse of roles from the PS3 gen when those studios had a relatively small output (admitadly Japan Studio stepped up their game since 2012), especially compared to other Sony studios which are yet to release a PS4 game.



So it is happening...PS4 preorder.
