I dont know how these guys are still in business now this comment has nothing to do with if they make good games or not it strictly about sales.

That's a real shame, cause DMC was a great game. I enjoyed it very much. It didn't get the sales it deserved due to whiny fans about a haircut. While I too don't prefer this new look to the old one, I recognize it as a reboot, and don't let it stand in my way of enjoying a fantastic game. For those that missed it do yourself a favor, and go support this great developer and awesome game.

I recently completed Heavenly Sword, and I thought it was a good game. It had it's problems, but overall it felt like a sequel would've ironed those out. Sadly we may never see one.

NT are a talented studio that just seem to be unlucky, they make good games, none of which seems to live up to their expectations. But maybe that's their problem, the hack n slash genre isn't exactly the most lucrative of genres.

Yes, they obviously did a lot better with Sony saleswise. However Enslaved and DmC were both great games eventough they didn't sell. DmC is my 2nd favourite DMC game.

Yes they did
If you have the chance you should always stay with Sony.

They are a good developer, but instead of trying to antagonise Devil May cry fans, they should've tried to please them. The problem is they set out to make the game they felt like doing, not exactly the game the market and fans want.
Having defied the fanbase openly was a huge mistake.

With that said, their games arent huge sucesses but they are enough to turn a profit and they are a darling studio of western critics and do make decent games. They seem to be working on the PS4 already. Maybe they are making Heavinly Sword 2. They certainly learned alot with the 2 titles they have worked on since heavinly. I'm sure each game is even better than the last. They are good, but they need to lose the defiant atitude.

I think the changes to DMC were just what Capcom wanted. They thought the formula was becoming stale so they outsourced it to a western company to refresh the series.

I'm pretty sure Capcom didnt order a Pizza dildo.

they shot them selfs in the foot with Heavenly Sword lol the game was 5 hours long come on they stink

VITA 32 GIG CARD.250 GIG SLIM & 160 GIG PHAT PS3

A lofty analysis OP.

Heavenly Sword, like most PS3 games made a bulk of its 1.5m in sales via bundling and bargain bin prices. It was sadly one of the first high profile flops this gen (along with Lair).

As for Enslaved, there was never any hype for this. Namco do not know how to generate hype. The game was a lot better than Enslaved but the marketing was just non existent. With a better publisher (ubisoft) the game would have done better.

DMC, this game was doomed right from the start. With all the fan hate and back lash, no amount of marketing could have undone the damage, its a shame because it is actually NT's best game to date.

If they had stuck with Sony, with Enslaved there is no reason to think the game would have sold better.

I don't care about this company so if they disappear won't be a loss.

Games with no potential to sell more than 2 million units (like Enslaved) should never be released on PS3 and the XBox. The risk was too high for a relatively small company like Ninja Theory.

By the way I wonder if Enslaved would be profitable if it was Wii/PSP multiplatform title.
